One year ago, the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD) Board of Commissioners selected Comverge, Inc. (Nasdaq: COMV), to provide a voluntary energy curtailment program, and this relationship has paid off with a $1.6 million rebate to the MWRD.

Aging Care Connections, La Grange, is seeking volunteers for front desk reception responsibilities on Monday - Friday afternoons from 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm. Receptionists are responsible for receiving incoming calls and directing calls to the appropriate person or office. Ilana Shure, manager of the Aging Care Connections Aging Resource Center, La Grange, provided training on the Bridge Model of Transitional Care in Philadelphia last week. Walter Rosenberg of Rush University Medical Center joined Ms. Shure representing the Illinois Transitional Care Consortium to provide training to the Philadelphia Corporation on Aging, one of the country’s largest area agencies on aging, and HealthInsight, a Utah Quality Improvement Organization. |

Aging Care Connections, La Grange, will offer two dementia care classes beginning in March. The first is a five-session class for caregivers of individuals with late stage Alzheimer’s disease or other related dementias. Topics that may be included are: understanding late stage dementia, communication with Individuals with late stage dementia, understanding the levels of medical care, anticipatory grief and loss, end of life options, stress relief and self-care, legal and financial issues, and community resources. The program will be provided at no cost to caregivers, but enrollment is required. |
