Use the Smartest Card – your Library Card – to receive FREE admission or special discount admission at participating Chicago area cultural destinations. Due to lack of State Library System support, this popular program was due to end in 2011. Macy’s and the museums recently agreed to extend the program while an alternate group is found to administer the program. In order to stimulate the use of the Library the Lyons Public Library welcomes local artists and collectors to exhibit their artwork or collectibles. The Administrative Librarian reserves the right to refuse artwork offered for display. The director shall accept or reject material offered for display based on its suitability and availability. |
