Referred to by many as a true “Patriot,” Lyons resident, Meredith Kelly, the founder of Operations Stars and Stripes, an organization that that has sent tens of thousands of care packages to active servicemen around the world since its inception in 2003, lost her battle with ALS on Tuesday, May 15, 2012.

The City of Berwyn Police Department (BPD) has partnered with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® (NCMEC) on the Take 25 campaign, a grassroots initiative aimed at heightening awareness about children’s safety issues. Weekend Road Closure in Riverside Print E-mail

Bloomingbank Road will be closed from Riverside Road to the Commuter Parking Lot starting at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 18. The road will remain closed through 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 20 for Riverside Arts Weekend. All southbound traffic entering the 1st Division will be rerouted to Burling Road. There will be no parking on Burling Road from 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 18 through 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 20 due to rerouting of vehicles westbound on Burling Road. Watch for posted signs.
